Why Did You Become A Content Creator?
I always loved sharing parts of my life with my friends, both online and offline. After I became a mom, I was so busy tending to a newborn, I did not have time to see my friends as I did before.
So I decided to open a public profile as a creative outlet and connect with like-minded individuals. This opened a lot of opportunities for me as I started working with brands soon after.
Where/how do you find inspiration to create new content?
It comes to me at the most random times! I have a list on my iPhone note app where I write it down as soon as I can and go back to it after.
Who normally takes your photos?
My husband takes most of my pictures.
What type of content generates the most engagement with your followers?
Posts where I share personal stories. Recently my plant stories have also gotten great engagement.
A lot of your content showcase your travel! Has it been difficult for you to create new content during the pandemic?
I usually take two big trips every year, once in the summer and once in the Winter. I miss traveling, but it was not hard to create content at home. You just have to get creative and use different corners of your house you wouldn’t otherwise.
What advice would you give to digital creators that want to be successful on Instagram?
Do not feel pressured to be someone you are not. You are enough! Instead of chasing numbers, have fun along the journey. Talk to your followers, make genuine connections.
How did you build your 5k following?
It took me 2 years to have a genuine following of 5k followers. But I enjoyed every second of these two years. Again, the joy of being a content creator is in the journey for me.
Do you want to continue with influencer marketing 5 years from now? If so, what do you want to have accomplished?
It is hard to picture life without Instagram because it has turned into a part-time job for me. I hope to continue making helpful and creative content, and meeting amazing people and brands along the way.
